Kaisu Talvikki Gallery at an Abandoned House

Here's a video from my sister Kaisu's art gallery in an abandoned house in Pornainen, Finland. I didn't get all the details, hidden paintings or works that you simply have to be there to see and experience, nor anything from the upstairs. The gallery is open all of May on Tuesdays 5-8PM, Saturdays and Sundays 11AM-5PM (see Kaisu's website for more info). Welcome!
.

The music is Kaisu improvising on kantele (and a tiny clip of organ in the end). The kantele song is called How many times have I been born, died, born. There is more of her music and nature sounds she recorded playing at the gallery too, along with the video installation. Here's Kaisu (in a hoodie she knitted which I think is gorgeousss).
.

Marianne is about to find a hidden work behind the door.

Today Kaisu and I are going to print out the bunny cards I told you about, as well as do another exciting project we came up with yesterday. More about that later! I'll leave you with your friendly neighborhood basement goblins -- Marianne and I checking out the cellar of the house. All these photos are by Minna.

PS. In case you're wondering, Talvikki is Kaisu's middle name and means "Wintery" :)

Marianne Sunshine

I was hanging out yesterday with Marianne. This girl is a total sunshine, now look at her:

Recently we had a hoop jam in Helsinki for the World Hoop Day and recorded a video of us all doing "the official" WHD choreography. You can check it out here. I think it was Marianne's idea to bring the beautiful yellow leaves to our hooping spot. I don't know who took the above photo but the following ones from the park were taken by Noora or some other hooper there, I forget. Credit where the credit is due :)

And here's the whole crew:

This is how it's done yeah!

I made her a new hoop and she gave me these pink and colorful dreads that she made herself. Aren't they cute?!?

Ok everybody, have a great weekend! I have some exciting plans for tonight, will tell you guys later what happened :)

PS. Marianne has a blog at www.mariannesisko.blogspot.com, but it's in Finnish so you non-fairy-Finnish-speakers can check out the photos :D
