KREATIIIING! ✩

So I've been doing lots of art stuff! Makes me happpy. Well at first I was stressed out. That's how I thought of starting to draw again - to let it all out in this form. But after just two creepy pieces my worries drifted away. Here's the first one I made:

And this is the second one, a fairy suicide note:

My creation station:

Here are the rest:

It's Time to Blossom - with a pretty earring I found on the ground :)

Fairy Castle

Blue Fairy Mandala - I just finished this. I'm posting all my art things on Facebook, friend me if you want to see them or give some of them a home <3

This is what I'm working on now - putting Jagannatha face in the middle of the reddish one :D Ok, back to "work"! <3

Behind Closed Doors in Philadelphia

This morning I was sneaking behind closed doors and took some pics with my phone on my way back from the gym. I actually took a lot more pics, will post them tomorrow. But here are da doorz.

Psychedelic mirror door. Who knows what kind of parallel wonderland galaxy you'll enter through this one?

As I took this pic, two robust ladies came out of the door and started flirting talking with me. They kept repeating how the bigger plant is called pussy willow and kindly revealed to me how to score a pussy willow of my own - they pointed to a big tree across the street, and told me to get a branch in the spring and stick it in soil. That's how they came to have their own Christmas pussy willow.

Pretty random.

See the 'War is Not the Answer' sticker? :)

Yucky and Pretty at the same time, isnt' it?!

Someone's spending her holidays behind the bars.

I live in the house on the right side of the Wu-Tang-pole. Speaking of Wu-Tang, recently at my friend Kelly's royal birthday ball, her roommate Danny played Wugazi, which was realllyyy goood - a mash up of Wu-Tang and Fugazi. It's free to download here, just saying.

Laura Luna :: Carried by Lightning

I'll tell you a secret. There is this dazzling friend and lady in Finland who teaches tribal fusion bellydance, paints and makes jewelry and her name is Laura Luna. She also makes henna tattoos and gorgeous accessories. Here in the form of Photographs you can take a peek into her Creativelife. The first one is Laura's painting of herself and her son, Nesta.

The next is from a fashion show, the model's face painting and jewelry are by Salamankantama, which is Laura's heartfelt business, and means 'carried by lightning' (as far as I can interpret, it's a beautifully poetic word). Laura has a blog too (which is also in Finnish - but you can say hello to Google Translator if you wish, although it's tricky to get correct translation of Finnish). You can connect with her through Salamankantama Facebook page too, here.

The last, super adorable picture is Laura as a kid, posing with her prophetically boho tribal attire - complete with a headdress. Awwwww!!!

Please come today, beginning 6:30PM, or visit the gallery later this May. My sister Kaisu took over this abandoned house and created a BEAUTIFUL, authentic, unique art experience there. For all you thousands of miles away, I'll take photos today and put them up here tomorrow ;)

Fairylicious Paintings by Josephine Wall

I just found the most beautiful, fairylicious paintings ever. Josephine Wall was born in the UK in 1947 and has painted since her childhood. Along with an extensive online gallery with tons of pics, she has some really good things to say on her website too:
.
.
.
"Artists have been given a fabulous gift, but with it come great responsibilities. We have the chance to change the world by portraying images of how life could be and how it should be. No message is more powerful or has more impact than an image created by an artist driven by a desire to preserve all that is good in our world, and to vanquish all that is against nature. Yet another theme dear to my heart is to include a message encouraging conservation, as I wish that mankind would do everything possible to protect our precious and beautiful planet, and heal the damage we have already inflicted."
.
.
.
"My main concerns are pollution and de-forestation. I wish that man would no longer be ruled by greed, but just enjoy the simple things of life – most of which are free. We seem to be living in a throwaway world where skill and craftsmanship are undervalued."
.
.
.
"Why do artists nearly all have a great passion for, and appreciation of, Nature? I believe it is due to their sensitivity and ability to observe more closely and be open to act as a channel for the energy of Mother Earth."
.
.
.
You can also get her paintings as wallpapers! Just go here. As I've been putting this post together and drinking my morning tea, going through all Josephine's pictures, I must say I'm pretty fairied out at this point -- which is excellent considering my plan for this Friday night! Kaisu and me are going to downtown Helsinki to create a fun little dimension of hooping and poi, with music blasting from a speaker, and basically do some serious hilarious street performing. I'll let you know how it goes!
.
.
Which painting is your favorite of all these? Two that strike me the most are the sixth one, The Spirit of Flight, and the second to last one Aurora (painting the dawn). Yesterday we just talked about this with Kaisu while looking at the sunset sky -- how the Creator is the greatest artist with perfectly beautiful and eccentric eye for colors :) I like what that says about Him.

Need Funds to Develop a Cocaine Habit

Aapo Nikkanen makes interesting art as well as good psytrance with the name Pekkanikkarinen. He shares his music for free and you can download both of his albums here and the other one here. I would write more but my laptop dies in 1 minute, so just enjoy the art :)
